Advising


In the first semester, each incoming student will be assigned an advisor. In the second and third semesters, students will be able to choose their own advisors from a core group of professors. All students must meet with their faculty advisors before registering each semester, and at a minimum, one other time during the semester. During this meeting, students can discuss academic and professional goals, and seek guidance in selecting courses Meet with advisor to discuss course selections Complete a course selection worksheet emailed from the Office of Student Affairs Advisor must approve course selections and inform the Office of Student Affairs of approval Meet with Office of Student Affairs to discuss course plan and receive registration pin number To avoid late registration fees, students should always be sure to schedule their meetings with advisors before the registration period commences each semester and review their CUNYfirst accounts to clear all holds.
