This five-week module introduces students to the fundamental concepts of narrative storytelling and documentary filmmaking. We focus on applying reporting skills to narrative and long-form storytelling and analyzing the building blocks and visual demands of documentary. Students develop a story proposal and workshop it with the class and an industry professional. This is a precursor to the third semester Documentary Video production class
