For students who want academic credit toward the 45-credit graduation requirement for a part-time internship in their third or fourth semester. May only be taken with approval of the student's academic adviser and the internship program director. A third- or fourth-semester student in good standing who has a GPA between 3.0 and 3.7 may intern from seven to 10 hours a week (150 hours maximum per semester); a student with a GPA above 3.7 may work up to 16 hours a week (240 hours maximum a semester). The internship must consist of a serious journalistic enterprise involving hands-on editorial work. At the end of the term, students write a short report and their on-site supervisor evaluates their performance
